Hello folks!

I'm in a bit of a dilemma about what to do regarding my ITA.

My wife and I both submitted an EE profile (each), and we both got an ITA in yesterday's drawing. We are now aware that we would have been fine with one profile. So obviously we are going to continue the application with one profile, but we don't know what to do with the other one. Should we reject it? Should we just let it expire? My worries are that it would negatively impact the profile we are using since the primary applicant in the profile we choose to reject is the dependent on the profile we are using.

Has anyone been in this situation before?

That's perfectly OK. Choose one as the primary application, and reject the other one. You can even wait and let it expire on its own if you are uncertain about which one to pick.

Just don't submit both and you'll be fine. I did exactly the same thing and got my PR with no issues whatsoever (I rejected the other ITA 2 weeks after I submitted the first one. I could have just let it expire)

There are no negative consequences to declining an ITA or withdrawing an application.
