guys, newbie here. i am currently residing in dubai and have applied for federal skilled worker to canada around 2009, i waited for my file number for a very long time, due to my recklessness, i missed their email saying that i have some documents missing and that they are closing my file. my father, mother, brothers and sisters are already in canada through my dad (business class application). i have tried applying for a visit visa to canada (and hopefully to find work there through work sponsorship) but it got denied twice, the reason was something like " the immigration officer was not convinced that i will be coming back to my country of residence", maybe because of the fact that my family is there and i will have the means to "overstay". i would like to say that im working as an architect in dubai municipality and i have a good stable job here in dubai, i dont know why my application keeps getting denied. now, a new set of eligible occupations has opened, i can apply again under occupation 2131 - engineer (sub class: architect engineer) i was thinking of getting a consultant, like PREMIERE or CARTER HOPPE but they charge a lot of money and i have read a lot of bad reviews against them. any good consultants you can recommend guys? shall i do the application for federal skilled worker myself? the best option that i can think of is to go with the consultant my dad worked with for his application, but the problem is, its in the philippines and im here in dubai...any thoughts or suggestions are most welcome! tnx guys! pls help...

The process is not complicated at all. The guide is well written and clear. You should apply on your own like many of us on this forum. If you have any questions, post them here ; the speed of response is pretty quick and people are more than happy to share their experiences.

yup, i applied on my own as a federal skilled worker but unfortunately it wasnt processed, there are some missing documents they said. i dont want that to happen again this time around so im planning to go with an immigration consultant, can you recommend me a good one?

Why not apply again on your own and this time, fill the application properly and don't be reckless in following up. It's as simple as that, no consultant required.
