Dubai Pcc help

Hi All,

I applied for my Pcc through the Ministry of interior app. Paid an amount of 150 and received the clearance certificate within 2-3 hours.
Some people have applied for good conduct certificate from dubai police app/website.
Both are clearance certificates stating no convi but the one I have is issued by Ministry of interior and the other one is from Dubai Police.
Will the certificate I have received from MOI work?

Hi Bally1123. Initially, I also applied and received my certificate from MOI, however due to some small mistakes in it which couldn't be corrected easily, I opted for a Dubai Police certificate instead which I was able to update my data through Emirates ID.

Technically there is not much difference between them from what I can tell, except the issuer and name of certificate (Clerance Certificate vs Police Clearance Certificate).
However, I'd personally go for the Dubai PCC, even if you have to pay again because:

1) It seems to be the most commonly used by UAE based applicants.
2) It's also the one linked to from IRCC's website.
3) The requirement is for a Police Certificate, so it's less confusing to receive it from Dubai Police than to receive it from MOI.

That's my take on it, and btw I had ordered a total of 4 PCCs until I got it right and had to pay for each single one.

Thanks so much for your reply. I have the same concerns that you have mentioned. Although the MOI certificate has exactly the information requested by IRCC, I might still apply got the dubai pcc.
Quite confusing!

The name on my PCC is the same as my Emirates ID. I believe they pull all the data from your Emirates ID, that's why I had to correct my ID data until they generated the PCC with the correct data.

In case there’s any change to be made in the Dubai PCC that you got through the Dubai Police Mobile Application , simply forward the email that you got with wrong pcc to certificate@dubaipolice.gov.ae along the explanation of changes to be made and supporting documents like passport copy/emirates id. They will send the corrected one immediately if all supporting documents match with your explanation. No extra charge.

Where did you read that? My full name includes my father's name as well (Middle East / Arabic naming convention).
As long as the name matches with your other official documents (passports...etc) there shouldn't be any issue.

the dubai police app mentions that its a good conduct certificate.. and its 220aed.. is this the right one?
the mob num im giving now is not the same as before as im not in dubai anymore. will this be an issue?

yep that is the one. the good conduct certificate.

the mobile number does not matter,you could provide a Non-UAE mobile number as well. they're just gonna email the certificate like in two working days

Man its so easy - You just have to read whats mentioned in the drop down menu

purpose - immigration
requested by - private sector
required by - IRCC or CIC (That you need to check - put full form not short form)
