Hello,
I landed recently in Canada and have a valid DL extract properly stamped. My issue is i didn't brought my original DL with me to Canada as it was damaged and having its chip missing(My mistake i didn't applied for new when i was in India). Now DriveTest asked me to show my DL but i can't , I asked them if i can show them in government's mParivahan app but they denied and asked me to show original. When i asked my friend to get a new license card on same number on my behalf RTO asked to bring DL holder in person and i am stuck as i can't apply for Duplicate copy of my license even if its real not fake. should i ask my friend to send me damaged one, but i am afraid DriveTest will not accept as its chip is missing and they will think its a fake because of chip missing. In india i never needed DL to show to traffic police as i had it in my phone app. a big regret.
