Hi,

In form IMM5669E question 8 Personal history, I am having difficulty in calculating my work experience, the problem is that I have been working through staffing agencies on various short term assignments, and during some months working for 2 agencies in the same month and had some weeks where in I was not having any assignments. So how do I show this overlapping and the gaps I had between assignments.

Also, while writing the personal history, how should I write my education for eg. my bachelors degree program was for 3 years, how should I show the summer vacation gaps( unemployed) or should I show it a straight 3 year program? Look forward to getting a reply. Thanks

well, it depends on when u started working for each agency. if u started working with all of them at the same time, u need to write their names together and same month eg, abc compny, ekg company, icvb company, from 2010 october- 2012 december. i did like that when i applied and dont think its a problem. u dont need to show overlapping unless when the start months are different, then u show different months and year. u only put everything together and same month and year. if months varies, u put the start month and year for each company and end month and year

for education, u can write the month and year u were in school and months u were unemployed even if they are same year. eg. george brown college, from september 2008 - september 2011, and from 2009 june - 2009 september, unemployed, then from 2009 september till 2011 september, george brown college. u can mention school name twice when u show any difference in activity.
Did u work for any other company other than the agencies?? just curious to know. I used 3 different agencies for my cec application experience after getting all required hours and i am still waiting for response. Good luck to all of us :) :)
 
Agree with ujbaby. Make sure you have worked for at least 12 months and have at least 1950 hours(full-time equivalent).
