Doing BOTH direct EE FSW application along with spousal sponsorship

Hello,

My wife has a Canadian PR (received recently). We know that she can start a spousal sponsorship application to get me there. In the meantime, hypothetically, can I also make a direct application for the express entry program under FSW ? i.e, I will give IELTS, WES evaluation and all those things again.
