If you can get the company to transfer you to Canada on a work permit, it can help you get your foot in the door to get permanent residency later.

You will not be able to claim the credit for working 1+ year in Canada just by working in a Canadian company. But hopefully you will have a job waiting for you when you do make it to Canada ( via a transfer opportunity). Try to network as much as you can while you are working on your PR. When you send your work experience letters with your full package, try to send a company profile / internet profile.
