Hi everyone , my mother will be arriving soon in Canada with Supervisa, does she need to carry some Canadian or US dollar with her while traveling to Canada ? It's just to show or write in declaration paper purpose , please do let me know , I will appreciate it , thank you all.

It's probably wise to have some Canadian currency with her, just in case of unforseen circumstances and she has to fend for herself for a short time, even if you are fully supporting the visit. Canada is not the USA, so why bring US dollars?

There is no minimum amount she needs to carry but it is advisable that she would at least have some money for any possible expenses she might have at the airport or other places.

USD will be of little use in Canada, so no need for that at all.

Sometimes Canadian Dollars are hard to find abroad. In which case, the next best option would be to have some US dollars to change at the many exchange centers at the airport or outside.
