Hi,

I'm thinking of doing an online certificate from Mount Royal University. They have a variety of extension certificates, such as this one:

h t t p : / /w w w . m t r o y a l . c a / P r o g r a m s C o urses/Continui ngEducation/h ealthhum anservice/chi ldrights / inde x . htm

I believe this is considered a college-level certificate. I'm planning to do it along with my BA, which will grant me 128 points in total. Moreover, since Mount Royal is a Canadian institution, I will not have to do an WES evaluation for the certificate, but only my BA from the USA. Am I missing something here? Has anyone got points for doing certificates online?

Online degrees count as degrees for CRS points, yes. However, not for post-graduate work permits - - you won't be eligible for a PGWP.

Yes, I do understand that I am not allowed a PGWP as I am an outland applicant. So, if the certificate is from Mount Royal then I won't have to do an ECA report for it, am I right?

Would a a Canadian online certificate count as CANADIAN ?
For the question that follows saying ( is one of the certificates issued by a Canadian institution?” Would i be able to answer yes???
