I took a coloured copy of my University transcripts and ask my University to attest and seal it in a their envelope.

You can write in a separate letter explaining CIC that you cannot provide original transcripts to support your case. I hope CIC will understand this problem.

I have gone through this process and I did it in the same way.

Mohit,

I didn't send the 'transcripts' and I had no clue about such a thing until I joined this lovely forum. Morover, I couldn't have done it either as I did the quals way back & have never been to that city since 23 yrs now.

But no questions were asked. Might be a fluke case, but am thru. However, I think (again a personal opinion only) that the 'notarized' copies are more than enough. CIC only like to enforce this requirement for certain univs & regions on which they have a question mark.

Regards.

Hi Sharma Jee

Ur case is very common, u may do as :

Get notarize ur documents(transcripts and degree) and send these copies to CHC.

Take the dispatch number(which they entered in their 'outgoing post' dispatch register) of your documents from university and mention that number in a separate page/cover letter (write that 'these documents vide dispatch no. ...dated... has been sent directly to your office from my university). I am sure that none of the paper will be misplaced at CHC.

They will consider it. One of my friend did the same and his documents were considered successfully. So go ahead without any hesitation.

GOD BLESS U.

Dear Qorax
I am glad that it worked for you. Do you think it took little more time . I sent an e-mail to Candian embassy and this is what these guys replied

Universities in India are familiar with our requirements and have not, to date, refused to issue sealed transcripts. If you are unable to obtain sealed transcripts, you may submit notarized transcripts however, they will be subject to close scrutiny and the visa officer may still require sealed transcripts.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Dear ankit,

As I said, I might be a fluke case. However, my docs checking got over in 3-4 months itself at the CHC, w/out the transcripts. And London never raised any issues with me on that matter. I must've been lucky... thank God !
