can spouse application process less then 12 months or no?Its just 12 months for Iraq so does that been by the end on 12 months is when I receive the visa?I applied in dec 2018 so that means dec 2019 it will be 12 months

Yes most cases take 12 months if nothing is wrong with the application. Can take longer depending on a few variables.

To be honest, applicants from some regions and countries should expect longer process time than others. It is nothing about discrimination, most of the longer cases stuck at background checks/security screen. The BGC/SS depends on a lot third parties and/or Counterparts of CIC to response, some countries are well known of lacking the resources and/or willingness to conduct such request on time. With the situation in Iraq, it might take a lot longer for CIC to finish the BGC/SS of a particular applicant. Anyway, good luck to you and your husband.

And also, FYI, when it comes to BGC and SS, there isn't any time frame at all, which means CIC can take as long as they needed to finish the BGC/SS
