Hey guys,

Can any one please tell me after getting AOR under CEC , what next . Getting AOR means every thing is good and that will gives hope and increase the chance of getting permanent residence .

And whats the ideal time to order VO notes .

Can some one help me , please because i don't want to stuck myself until i am getting final decision. I have to think for options as well.

Please help me and guide me , i appreciate your help in advance .

No - getting AOR doesn't meet that PR is guaranteed. PR isn't guaranteed until you are actually issued the PR visa. There are still a number of steps CIC has to complete to verify that you qualify including the background check and medical.

Firstly thank you for your reply ,

But what would be the reasons of rejection. Can u please tell me . I applied through lawyer .

Biggest one is eligibility- which comes from your employer letter. AOR means nothing except that they have all the documents they asked for.

Hello Messi lional,

Getting AOR is very positive as it denotes that your application submission is judged as 'Complete' and you have passed the 'Initial Eligibility in that class' qualifying you for detailed eligibility and admissibility verifications with chance of PR being high.

I would suggest 1st GCMS (VO) notes to be requested between generally 4-6 months from AOR, this is the period when eligibility and no criminality is established leading to MR. Rejection would generally based on eligibility or criminality factors of assessment.

Hope this helps!

And also to add ro Rks's point, as far as I know AOR is issued by processing agent/clerk they dont really analyse anything so decsioning part is done by officer at later stage.

But what will be the percentage of getting approval because no one know for what they are more concerned ...,,

According to some info, up to 40% of cases accepted for processing in 2013 (means after AOR) were refused. One of these cases was mine. Don't know about 2014.

If you don't mind . What was your reason of rejection ..... Salary issue or back ground missing info ....?
