I am an Australian citizen and applying of a study permit;
Do I need to apply for a permit for my wife and 2 young children (3 and 1) at the same time?
Or can they just come in as a tourist and have their passport stamped?
Also, are processing times indicated in the Canadian Immigration website correct, do permit sometimes get processed a lot quicker?

Kind regards,
JC

How long is your study?

You see if it is longer than 6 months then I suppose they have to get TRV for a length of your study. Or- they may just go with you, at POE get 6 months stay permission and at the end of it - apply for extension.

No, the spouse and children don't require TRVs. They will be just added as dependents to the study permit. The OP should note that he will have to show $20K in living expenses + about $5K for travel on entry.
