very confused
i need to know if my husband is dealing with the right lawyer with the right information
my husband is in the states with no status , we did a inland application when he was in canada but he got deported 3 months later that is no longer because his not in canada i understand that.
i read online that he needs to have status in the status for 1 year before i sponsor him in the states.

is that true ?
should we just do the application in his home country because i really feel like his lawyer is taking his money without letting him all the info.

If your husband is in the US without status, then his application will be processed through the visa office responsible for his home country. I hope he's aware of the overstay rules in the US. They are extremely strict. How long has he been in the US without status?

Why did he get deported from Canada

his been there for about 2 months , he has his court date soon but we both aren't sure whats going to happen. i just needed to make sure we do it in his home country .

Oh I see. Lots of great people here. Hope you get the answers you need. Good luck

My husband was in the states withou status for multiple years. he went back to his home country and I am sponsoring him right now, we applied in February and are hoping to get his Visa soon!
