Hi,

just a simple question... I was nominated by BC PNP and so I currently have 1082 points in my profile. I'm using the official calculator, my marital status is "common-law" and my girlfriend is coming to Canada with me and we need to get work permit for her as well. If I put that she doesn't have any language test, it only drops my points down to around 1000.

Is it mandatory for both of us to have a language test results or we don't need one for her? So we can save some money... Thank you!

No, a language test for your spouse is not mandatory - it just adds extra points. Since you already have way more points then you need for an ITA, it would be a waste of money.

Well explained, thank you so much!
