Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
A lot of people talk of this interview where you go with proof and they ask you all these questions to prove if your relationship is genuine. Does this interview, if it happens, happen in the first stage of the application or the second stage for inland spousal sponsorship applications?? After the sponsor has been approved and the applicant has received their open work permit would any interview after that point be the one about proving the relationship or would it be a different kind of interview??
Thanks.

It can be any kind of interview at any point in the process up until you are actually a landed immigrant.

I know, doesn't help you to decide if you will or will not have an interview, but I think they like it that way.

Don't sweat the small stuff though because even those interviews are not a big deal if you are in a genuine relationship.

Good luck!

Hi guys, so I have a couple of quedtions that I hope someone can shed some light on please:)

My situation:

In Canada Spousal Sponsorship
First stage approval received
Open Work permit received
Just waiting on police clearance from Namibia then a discision should hopefully be made
and I will have to attend the LANDED IMMIGRANT INTERVIEW.

My question :

Does my wife (my sponsor) definitely have to attend this interview? She has a job offer for a
2month teaching job in the UK and we are afraid these 2 events might happen at the same time.
Is there a way she can not attend the interview? Perhaps an declaration of some sort or an affidavit?

Thank you and godspeed

Your sponsor MUST attend the landing interview with you on an Inland application. The only thing you can do if there is a time conflict is hope to reschedule your landing interview, but I really don't suggest that as that could be seen as a reason to open your application again to ensure things are as they should be.

Interview can happen any time and at any point through ur application process ..but 80 to 90 % interview happen before AIP ..i mean before ur first stage approval ..According to my Opinion in this forum their got 10% chances only to have interview in second stage ....good luck and god bless all of us
