Hi Everyone,

I submitted my CEC application for PR on May 1, 2014 and it was received there on May 5. I got my card charged for $550 on May 30 and received the AOR with file number on JUne 13, 2014. I had not submitted my PCC with the initial application and it was asked on June 30 2014. I sent it and PCC was delivered there on July 16. I applied in the NOC B category. My question is does getting AOR and asked for PCC means that I am technically accepted for PR or are there still assessments that I will be going through to become accepted for PR ?

I would appreciate any feedback from the seasoned members here.

AOR means that your application is in order and can be sent to CPC for processing. Request for PCC means your criminal checks have started. There are many more steps to go.

Friend, your timeline is so quick! :)

Hi maniac2403,

Thanks for clarifying.

Hi lhyyym,

I am not sure if the time line is quick or it is because there are only a less number of applications (8000) they will accept for may-dec 2014. I also happened to send my application in the first week itself when they started the new quota. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry, friend, I talked to maniac2403. I guess his timeline is extremely fast. I am still waiting for my MR. :(

Nope that doesn't mean you passed your eligibility which is pre-requisite of MR request most of the times. In your case AOR means your application is complete for acceptance and criminality would have been started . Best of luck.

In my experience nearly 50% of applications are processed within 8 months and 80% in 13 months. Rest take longer.

Hope my application is within 80%. :(
