Does education needs to be in sync with NOC applied for ?

I am a software engineer(3+ years of exp) with a Bachelors in Electronics and Communication, and a 6 month Diploma in Entrepreneurial Management (UGC-DEB, NAAC approved).
I am eligible for Software Engineer profession in NOC, but I doubt, do they look and verify our creds to be in sync with NOC we are applying against ?

I think for your occupation you should be fine. If you were practicing as a doctor with a degree in law, I would beg to differ.
