Does co op experience counts??

Hi Friends,

I have a general doubt for applying PR.

Does the Co op work term that you do while you are in your post secondary education counts as experience when we apply for PR??.
Like you need some experience in canada for which you get points right?

So if suppose some one has got a co op of 1 year that is equivalent to a 1 year work experience right?? :

Please suggest!!!

It counts as one year of work experience in general.

However it does not count as one year of experience if you are interested in applying for PR through the Canadian Experience Class program. For CEC, only work completed after you graduate and once you are on the post graduate work permit counts.
