Hello everyone,

Here is my case.

Is not a sure thing that Human Resources will give me a letter of reference since I will be going to a different company (conflict of interestets) and they are not obligated to give me one.

I work in a drugstore where we have a pharmacy manager and a front store manager. Most of the time I report to the front store manager but on a few ocassions I report to the pharmacy manager since she is my boss too.

The pharmacy manager has agreed on signing that letter for me. The front store manager said she would too but I dont trust her, she doesnt like and wanted me out since she took charge about 6 months ago.

Im afraid that if CiC calls my manager she will deny the information, therefore I was thinking of having the pharmacy manager sign my letter, attatch the store buisness card and also provide the information.

Letter will meet all requirements and also i will provide pay slips.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Ask HR for the letter before you leave and if they refuse, then you know for sure instead of just assuming they won't. As you have concerns about the front store manager, it's probably a good idea to have the pharmacy manager sign the letter instead and provide his/her business card.

CIC may or may not call, so no one knows what the criteria is. Sometimes they call just for quality assurance purposes, other times to address concerns they may have. To be on the safe side, you should assume that they will call and provide contact information for someone who can take their call.

Thanks for the info.

Yea, a lady from recruitment is waiting for me to send her the letter information and will forward it to human resources (she has been very helpful); I just want to have plan B ready.

I will post any updates on this thread, thanks once again.
