Hi,

I could be wrong but i read somewhere that children under 22 does not have to land Canada with parents even for the first time. Is that right?
Also, if a PR living abroad with Candian Citizen spouse meets its PR residency requirements, would children under 22 years do too?/

Thanks a lot.

The principal applicant has to land first or with the others. After the principal applicant has landed, other family members can land.

If a PR child is accompanying a citizen parent outside Canada, they meet the residency requirements just like a spouse would.

Thanks but children have to land once to complete the process, right?. There is no exemption because of age. Thanks.

Yes, all the members of the family who get the PR visa and wish to become a PR of Canada must land. If a person does not land and their PR visa expires, they have not become a PR. There is no exemption because of a child's age but a child can be sponsored again as long as it is not yet married or in a common law relationship and either under 22 or a full time student and financially dependent on the parents.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate your help Leon.
