Does applying for PR before your visa expires put you in implied status?

Hello,
I received an ITA on February 2020 and my work visa expired on November 2020. My application is still going on (I know, looong time. Covid).
Am I with implied status right now?

No - you do not have implied status.
You would have needed to have applied for a BOWP before your work visa expired in November 2020.
If you did not apply for a BOWP, the you are in Canada without status since November.
