Hi, To All;

My husband applied for PR and submitted the application last Dec. 3, 2011 at CEM dropbox. It's been 2 months now and we havent receive any notice of acknowledgment of acceptance from the Embassy.
His application of PR is via Federal Skilled Worker thru SINP. and He is now working in Canada via WP status. We are worried since his companion who also dropped his PR application at CEM dropbox (same date, same time) already received AOR and already payed their Landing fees.

At the moment we are at lost since we dont have any reference number to use for inquiries. And much to my knowledge we are not allowed to follow-up if the papers are under processing time. And, we don't know where to go and what to do. Do we still have to wait for any response from the CEM?

Anyone knows with the same situation? Please need you prayers.... Thank you very much.

hi,

If you have not received your AOR yet, be hopeful still. See the new guidelines for PNPs from CIC's site:

1) As of December 1, 2011, if you are applying under the Provincial Nominee Program, you must submit your application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Once you have gathered all required forms and documents listed in the Document Checklist, send your application to:

Citizenship and Immigration
Provincial Nominee Program
Centralized Intake Office
PO Box 1450
Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6K5
Canada

If the CIO determines that your application is complete, it will be sent to the appropriate CIC processing office for processing. The processing office will contact you for further documentation once they are ready to process your application.

If your application does not include all of the documents and forms set out in the checklist, CIC will return it to you. Do not provide documents which are not listed in the checklist.

Note: Applications that were sent prior to December 1, 2011 and that are received on or after this date at the visa office will be processed by the office as long they are complete.

You should still get a notification or a message about your application. This is why sometimes it is better to have it sent via courier as then you can track the application if it was received - gives you piece of mind that is was not lost in transit. Just be patient a little bit more....
