If you follow the previous threads in this forum, you will see it took 1 week after receiving AOR to 9 months (sometimes even after medical is done). So there is no concrete answer for your question. It all depends on which step an application is and how clear the information reaches VO.

yes knada is true. it is depend on application and visa officer who is asses your file. i saw one guy got rejection exact one week after he got AOR. some people got after there medical. finally it depend to application to application. how you fill it, how you submit supported document. failure with criminal check. like that

??? yeh...it can be after AOR and can be after 1 year. There is no specific stage....

thanks everyone for the replying, as i applied in Aug last year, so far i did not get any news, i am worried.... the waiting time is not easy...
i am just wonder the approximate time of rejection !!

if you apply last year august, at least you should get you AOR now. call cic they will help you. I know it is pain in the ass to call CIC, but try. and you have some point to think. did you submit it through a consultant or by your self. are you sure you track your you application package till it get its final destination. did you pay correctly ect. so contact cic, thats is the best solution.

Sorry, i think there are some misunderstanding, i already got my FN, i am waiting for my ME now, but there is not any information coming along the waiting, and i heard many people got rejected now, i am scared...~~

Just posted in another thread, but thought I'd add here as well...I ran some trending (based on July and August submissions), and came up with a 235 day average for MR/next stage following receipt of AOR. Hope that helps give you an idea..
