Does anyone know any free apps to call Canada??

I keep downloading supposedly free apps to call my partner in Toronto and after a period of time I'm told I've no credits even though the apps claim to be 100% free with no credit needed. Would love to call him or he call me but we can't and whatsapp call without a data plan is useles. Please help!!

The typical messenger applications aside (like google's free calling from gmail, skype, and friends), we have had a lot of luck with SIP (voip) calling from overseas...

Use whatsapp when you are in a free Wif-Fi zone .

If you don't have wi-fi, you (or your partner) can sign up for a cheap SIP phone number in your country, that you can call them on (assuming it's free to call local numbers). The service we use is http://flynumber.com . If you are interested and need help to get started, shoot me a PM.

if you both have internet access and smart phones /tablets etc ... both download VIBER , and use that or even facebook you can video message each other and the quality is fantastic .... open up messenger in facebook , select your partners name , and click on the video icon , ... then you can see and talk to him , . all of these are free forever ....

Viber does the trick for us and whenever we do video calls it's facetime, but before I owned an iPhone we used skype.

How you keep the history of facetime call?

I used Hangout to call USA or Canada phone number free. You just downliad the app and of cos you require internet but your spouse do not require to download the app. You can call his or her mobile number directly. That is the best app i found so far. Good luck.

If you have Internet, you can also use Line, it had free voice and video calls.. That's what we've been using.
