Hi All,
Given is some basic details about me.

Education: Master's in Electrical Engineering (From US)
NoC:2147
Years of experience: 8 years of fully relevant experience in US and India
CRS: 459, created on April 14 2021
Current location: India

Since there are no tech draws from Ontario in sight (missed the last one narrowly by 1 day), I actively started looking for direct hire/roles in Canada. I applied for positions directly on company website, and this company I have known from at least 6 years. After close to 8 hours of interview, I was extended role for this position.

Law firm Fragomen, contacted me to initiate the LMIA process for work permit under Global Talent Stream around 6 weeks back. They asked for all my education documents, and later work letters which all I submitted within 1 day (as I already had them ready for possible tech draw). But they haven't filed for LMIA yet and they are still preparing the documents with the company. I have heard stories about Fragomen in US about how slow they are, but not sure if this is same for Canada?

This all is making me extremely nervous as I came to India for personal reasons and with time finding it difficult to adjust here, living under constant fear what if I get stuck here. I actually make good money in India, maybe more than I would save in Canada but my issue with adjustment and I am slowly developing anxiety disorder. Since there are no tech draws in sight, no assurance that I would be picked in that tech draw (maybe CRS is higher for next tech draw of ON). I have few admits for master's and PhD for Jan 2022 in Canada (which I applied as backup) but haven't pursued that option since I got a job. Few days back, a recruiter from Ericsson reached me for a position in Europe which I let go as I have something in process for Canada. But now I am seriously reconsidering should I keep interviewing for other roles in Europe or even Canada. Lot of people are getting direct hires for positions in UK, and immigration is faster too.

The only issue is it be morally wrong I feel, that they spend so much effort in hiring me and spending their time, effort and money on immigration. Next time they might be reluctant to hire someone from outside Canada.

Thanks a lot
