Does anyone applying from Mexico City office get the visa recently?

Dear friends, I sent my medical examnation forms back to the office on Dec.12 2009 and updated one of my information on Jan 8 2010. I did not get any response from the embassy yet. I'm wondering when I can get the decision. Dose any one get the visa recently? or any friend got any idea about when I can get the decision?

Hi Sophie I'm from Mexico.. I sent my police cleareance on January 25 and I did my medicals on January 12.. I thought i'd take about two months but two months have passed today and so far no news.
I recently asked whether not having paid the RPRF before the passport request would have anything to do. And the mod told me not paying the RPRF could be a reason of the passport request delay..
I thought the RPRF request came with the passport request at the same time.. but who knows ?

hi, sorry to reply you so late. I checked my posts several times but no reply so I just assumed that nobody would answer me...Thank you for you reply.

My case was filed in 2007 and all the fees including the one you mentioned has been paid at the beginning with my application fee. So I guess for my case, if there's a delay, the fee might not be a reason.

I did hear from a friend that it looked that nobody get any update in 2010. I guess the embassy must be very busy this year..

Certainly.. its been quite calm over the canadian embassy in mexico so far.. even
for fast trackers ( applications sent after feb 08 )..

I also have a friend who said the class of 06 suffered form the same delay last year..
most of them finished their process in 33/34 months.. so far it's been 27 months for me
from the beginning of the proccess until now... so we must continue to wait..

We have a facebook group named a Canada.. so far we are three people incluiding me
but we hope the group grows larger and we feed each other with info, insight and
overall support..

where in Canada are you planning to land ?

My family and I chose Vancouver, because I have relatives living there. and we both
know the city since we've lived there before..

It's been 3 months for me since I last sent the medicals and retrieved the PGR papers to them
so hopefully I'll hear from them soon..

Lets see what happens and may the wait goes fast
