I'm pretty much running out of options at the moment, I seem to fall through all the cracks and it's looking like I'm never gonna be able to get my PR. Anyway, while I'm in this clutching-at-straws mood, my half uncle (my mum's half brother) is a canadian citizen - is he eligible to sponsor me? Would he be classed as a close relative?

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid not, unless you are his only living relative in the world.

Why am I not suprised >:(

I think I'm just going to permanently be stuck here living from one year to the next on a restaurant host LMO! Grr.

Thanks for the quick response any way.

No problem.

See if the restaurant is interested in training you to cook. Offer to come in on unpaid time when you are not working and explain it's a great personal interest for you. Cooks and chefs are both eligible to apply as skilled workers, from what I understand.
