Does a Director of a Private Limited Firm fall under the category of 'Self Employed'?

Hi All,

According to me I've been 'Self Employed' all my life. I have never held a job. In 2010, I started two Private Limited companies with my brother. The companies are still running.

The question I have is...am I considered 'Self Employed' or is that a domain reserved for "Proprietors"only?

I intend to migrate under the "Self-Employed Immigration' program.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated...thanks in advance
