Hello guys. I was wondering what docs are required to apply for citizenship? Does a person need to be working throughout past 5 years? Does employment gap raises concerns in citizenship application? What are the application steps? Thank you!!

you need Application form CIT 002, online physical presence calculator, photocopies of your all passport including stamps of last 5 years, Knowlegde of english (IELTS/CLB/CELPIP or college/university Degree/diploma), photocopy of any kind of ID (licence/ healthcard but NOT PR card), 2 passport size photos within last 6 months, Fee receipt of $630 and document checklist CIT 0007.
it doesn't matter if you are working in last 5 years or no. but you have show that you were paying taxes for 3 years within last 5 years.

Read and review the information about applying for citizenship at the IRCC website, which has links to the guide for making the application as well as to obtain the required forms, including a checklist of required documents, and is the best first source for most of the information you need to make an application. See:

and follow links.

Hi All,
Pls I have a similar question to the above question: I became PR 3years ago. Lived&Landed from a country which is not my country of origin. Do I need to provide another Police Certificate again with my citizenship application even if i have submited one PC with my original immigration application b4 become PR?
Any help will b appreciated.

Thanks

No, you don't need it. you only need police clearance certificate if you lived in any country for more than 183 days in last 5 years before applying citizenship.
