Hi ,

I am in the process of applying for the PR. I am married and the initial plan was to apply the PR for me and wife together. However, I have a problem with this now . My wife is not keen to pursue the PR application now and hence is not ready to share the relevant documents( Passport ,birth certificate and education documents etc) for processing. Since we have completed ECA , IELTS etc , I would still like to go ahead and apply for the PR and once a opportunity is identified , confident to convince my wife ( I am aware of the complications of getting the PR later for my wife).

I would like to know if I can go ahead and apply for PR ( as a single applicant )without the above mentioned documents from my wife's side.

I have sufficient points from an individual perspective.,

Thanks in advance for your help

Alex

^ You still need some of your wife's documents (except for ECA and IELTS and education documents) and include her in your application as your spouse, but all you have to do is tick NO in the part whether your wife will accompany you to Canada and explain why in the Generic form.
Also the proof of funds you need will still be applicable for 2 people, even if your wife is not accompanying.
