Hello all,

I soft landed on August 30 2017. I have to move in April first week. If the date of my move to Canada is on April 1 2020, I would have about 2 years and 5 months from my PR expiry, which is on August 30 2022. Hence I am hoping that I will be able to move to Canada without the officer doubting if I will be able to satisfy my RO. Is my understanding correct?

The documents that I will be needing when I move are - passport, PR card, COPR, customs forms, proof of funds. Can the experts please tell me if there are any other documents needed?

Thanks in advance.

Why proof of funds are needed? Are you carrying cash?

I am figuring out which is the best instrument to carry the money when I move. I won't be literally carrying cash, but I thought Proof of Funds might be needed as I will be moving there without a job.

You are a PR, so you don't to prove that you can feed yourself.

Thank you for responding. I don't have children.
