Documentation Regarding Marriage (Pakistan)

I am planning to apply through the Express Entry process along with my wife. Both of us are from Pakistan.

Can anyone guide us what are the documents required from NADRA? We got married last year and have the Nikah Namah and an English translation of it. What other documents would we need for Canadian immigration? Updated ID cards (my wife's card reflecting that I am her husband)? FRC?

Any tips and advice of how to go about the process in Karachi would be much appreciated!

Go to your tehsil office and they will make marriage certificate in English. It's a standard procedure.

I uploaded Nadra Marriage certificate and that was it. I requested for gcms some 90 days after AOR and gcms states “marriage certificate provided”, which means no issues.

U only need Nadra computerized marriage certificate.

I do have my Nikka Nama notarized true copy in English and also Nadra marriage certificate in English.

In all situations, supporting documents that are in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by an official translation of the original document, or of a certified copy of the original document in English or French. That translation must be

• of the original document, or
• of the certified copy of the original document
