Document Dates

We have encountered many problems during the pandemic with trying to get documents from the Colombian government, which has resulted in a lot of delays. Now some of the documents like our certified translations, imm forms have signatures that are dated from a year ago. Will these still be valid, or will we have to have them re-translated, certified and dated?

I don't know of a way to give you a firm answer and will have to suggest you use common sense:
-if it's a 'fixed' document that cannot change (eg copy and trans of birth certificate), should probably be okay.
-police certificate: definitely update.
-any doc you can update yourselves and you sign (eg forms): must update. (General rule: three months max)
-if it's an official or signed doc that has some legal meaning that could potentially be revoked (eg permission from other parent), must update.

You'll have to use your own judgment. Apart from their own docs and forms, I'm not aware of a specific instruction.

You can also include a short letter of explanation that process long in Colombia and eg if any need to be updated, you will provide as soon as possible. (This won't be a magic defence against having the app sent back though)
