In the document checklist on the last page, it says the additional family members form imm 5406 must have signatures from all family members of the principal applicant....but this form has no place for these signatures. In the actual form there is only a place to sign for the principal applicant. Is it necessary for every family member to sign even if they are not coming to Canada?

The family live all over the world so I'm not sure how all members can sign this.

This refers to family members that are accompanying the principal applicant, meaning those added to the application (like dependants). If you're only sponsoring the principal applicant, then they're the only ones that need to sign.
