Hello
My Canadian partner has been living in the UK for the past two years. Does this mean she still has to provide the Option C Notice of Assessment? Or can we just explain she has been working in England and provide copies of payslips?

Thanks in advance
Oliver

I would probably do both if possible.

You can get her most recent Option C printout (from before she went to england which will be 2008/2009) include it and then write a letter explaining that she has been working in england for the last 2 year etc - doesn't have a more recent copy of the option c - etc - and that you have included copies of her pay stubs for the last 2 years.

Does she file taxes in england? You may also want to include proof of that.

Others may have different suggestions but this is where I would start

Great. Thank you. We'll give them a call today and order an Option C print out. Just hope it doesn't take too long to arrive! We're ready to send out the application now.

Our employer calculates and pays tax for us, so that is included on our payslips.

Thanks again
Oliver
