Hello, just a bit confused abt what to upload for my partner documents.

He has a slot for proof of family member's status (this slot is always there regardless of him answering YES or NO to having a citizen or PR relatives. What should I provide here ? To my understanding, family member = spouse/common law/children, so should I upload my work permit instead ?

Also there is a slot for Proof of relationship, which only appear if he answers YES for having a relative that is PR/citizen (he does have a brother that is citizen but we cannot contact him for his passport). Shouldnt this slot be for proof of our common law relationship instead ?

Since we cannot obtain his brother's document, I plan to answer yes for the relative question, upload my work permit for Proof of family member status under his section, and provide proof of the common law relationship for the Proof of relationship under his section. And add a LOE about his brother document. Is it the right approach ?

How will my common law partner s relative status affect my application ? I was under the impression that it has no effect. is that correct?

Sorry for the long post. please help :(

If you're applying under CEC having a relative is irrelevant, you can change the answer to "no" and explain in a LOE.

For FSW it decreases your eligibility score by 5. If it puts you under the 67 points required to be eligible under FSW then your application will be declined.

where can I verify this ? Only thing I know is I am applying under EE and originally declare as single(changed to common-law in eAPR with no impact in score), so I should not have claimed anything from it. Was unawared about the 67 points thing.

Thanks. I checked my invitation and it said I was invited under CEC. So I will change the PR/citizen relatives part of my partner to NO and add an LOE. Thanks.

Probably your best option! Good luck and all the best.
