DOB Certificate or Affidavite

Hi one of my frnd is applying for PR and they don't have DOC certificate. they only have DOB certificate issues by CGI but application packages are returned back asking for marksheets etc. he don't have marksheet stating DOB, so should they go for Affidavit? They are in Canada so how to make an affidavit? Does this needs to be attested by CGI as well or a lawyer can make it?

you can visit an attorney and get an affidavit done within Canada. It need not be notarised by CGI again.

Also there are multiple posts on the same topic with a solution in them. Please try to go thru them as well.

Hi! What is DOC? And what is "marksheet stating DOB"? Just dont want to have problem when i submit my application next month.. Thanks
