Do you receive a digital AOR if you submit paperwork physically, or does it only come by mail?

Hi folks

I've submitted my package physically through mail last year, and in my application I list my e-mail on the appropriate field.
My question is, do I only receive a physical AOR, or do I receive both an e-mail with the AOR followed by an AOR by mail?

Reason I ask is because I will have to move in the coming months and I don't trust my current landlord to correctly forward my mail.

I'm considering setting up Canada Post forwarding, however I'm unsure whenever they would forward any CIC mail, as in their terms they mention that no packages are forwarded, and CIC's response letters usually configure as packages rather than simple envelopes.

Does anyone have experience having Canada Post forwarding CIC information?
Does anyone have experience notifying CIC to change address of an application prior to AOR?

You always get AOR through email. Nothing comes through physical mail.
 
Some people did receive AOR by mail, so it's better to setup the mail forwarding. Also, keep checking ecas and as soon as you see that they received your application, call them and make sure the correspondence method is email.

ECAS you mean this?
Which Identification should I use? My PR's UCI?
