I'm on a work permit which is soon expiring. I am applying to convert to a visitor record, so that I can maintain legal status.
I also want to submit a H&C application (however I am awaiting certain documents). Some of my friends have told me that it would be impossible for me to make that H&C application beyond the expiry date of my work permit. Is this true?
I know that H&C applications can only be made from inside Canada, but is there such a rule that only people with a valid status can make it? Do they not allow people on visitor records to make that application?
Note: There is so much conflicting info out there, and I'm seriously confused.
