Do you get email for eligibity review started?

I logged in today and saw that my status has changed to Eligibility review started. But I did not recieve any email on this status change. Is that normal?

Also how long is it usually taking in current circumstances to move from eligibilty review to decision ?

I applied on 24 July
Biometrics submitted 12 August

Status changed : 30 Aug

you will receive an email notification only if there is attachment in your gc account
