Hi,
In order to show proof of funds i am accumulating funds in bank account in a matter of weeks. Do we need to show the source of funds for that. is it OK if we just deposit the money few weeks before applying or do we need to show the documented source of funds. Also how long do we need to maintain the funds for. Is it OK it the funds gets depleted for few intervals during the period of the application. How will CHC verify the availability of funds?

Thanks in advance

Seniors please help me on this one. I am only a few days before applying.

Hi,

If you are showing couple of months statement and you have just deposited large some few weeks ago then you have to give explanation that its your own money but if you are just showing current balance statement then no need at this stage but later if visa officer asks you for the full 3 months statement then you will need to give explanation. You are required to maintain the minimum funds until you get your visa stamped.

Cheers
SAki

Actually, we have deposited the funds over the last week, but we cannot produce any documents showing sale of property as the funds were accumulated from multiple sources. What do you advise in this case? Is it possible that an application can be rejected if sufficient evidence of the source of funds is not given. Seniors please advise.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Nitroxn,

To be on a safe side, you need to show minimum three to six month bank statement.

In your case you need to prove that this money from sale of any asset in order to convice the VO funds are not borrowed from someone else.
