I got PR in February 2018, my boss is no more cooperating with me because i am leaving his company. I informed him earlier about it.. But now he is behaving very badly, so i have thought to leave the company without serving notice period.. Do u think it will have any affect when i will apply for citizenship.? Do i need any reference of my company before PR.?

They don't need a reference, but may just need to verify you had worked there. However, there are other ways to document that, if need be, such as T4 slips or an employment record.

they always ask for a contact from the old jobs that you had during the eligibility time (the last 5 years before entering with the citizenship process) . In the current form CIT 0002E is question 11.

In the application form, they do ask you for employment info during your eligibility period. I remember I had to provide a person's name and contact info, so IRCC might contact them as it's probably for physical presence verification purposes. You don't have to provide your boss/supervisor as the contact, though. Any coworker should be OK.

Your concern is understandable. However, CIC asked the question for facts checking purposes... towards physical presence. So, they don't really care if you or your boss hate each other, or if you left your job on good terms. Even, if you were to give his name, he cannot deny that you worked there (as others have said, your pay stubs and T4s are proof).

Hi! Regarding to this post, how about working for only one day and left the job? Is it still counted or include in work experience? I have no pay stabs or roe.
