Do we need medicals in order to apply for BOWP?

I can see some posts like
They need medicals need to be done in order to apply for bowp.Is it true? Can anyone clarify me?
As far my knowledge we need only AOR.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

no need to get medical examination when apply BOWP.
