Do I need to submit expired passport prior to becoming PR?

Dear All,

I am preparing my citizenship application and I have a question:

One of the requirements is to submit photocopies of the current and old passports during the FIVE years period. I became a PR in Aug. 2019 (which is less than 5 years ago), and I am now eligible to apply. The current passport I have was renewed early 2019.

Do I have to submit the old one that expired in Dec/2018? It is within the past 5 years, but It was used before I become PR.

This rule is not clear to me and I hope you can help..

If it was valid in the last 5 years, you have to provide the photocopies.
