Hello!

I'm applying for a Canadian visa to visit the country for two weeks, and I'm required to show proof of means of financial support.

My bank will only give me the bank statements in the currency of the country where I reside.

Yes you can show bank statement in your currency but you can show how much it is equivalent to in Canadian Dollar.

Thank you Prith. Do you know what's the best way to show the equivalent in Canadian dollars? Can I just write it myself below? I'm sorry for all the questions I'm just a bit nervous because I would like to do it right.

Example, you have 100,000 EUR in your account, you can show for example:
Exchange rate 1 BDT = 0.016 CDA on July 4, 2018
100,000 BDT = 1,560 CDA

I showed like this in my financial document and attached bank statements with it for my student visa.

Get a standard bank letter from your local bank and in the local currency. If your bank is generous enough to provide a current conversion factor it is fine, else it is not going to be an issue at all if your bank letter is in the local currency.
The case office reviewing your application is living in the 21st century with tools to provide currency conversion on his computer.
Don’t overwrite on a official letter from your end as this will be misrepresentation on your part.
