Hi
Do I need to show proof of funds? If so, how much? I checked the document checklist and I didn't see that I need to show proof of funds?
Thank you

You don't have to show proof of funds at the time you apply. However, some VOs ask you for it during the landing procedure.

Hi all,
Yes, I am applying under CEC...I find it weird that I don't have to...but I guess I don't.
Thanks

You know what CEC stands for? It stands for Canadian Experience Class. Judging by the name, the decision
will be made based on your work experience and not funds.
And as I said, some VOs ask your for proof of funds during the landing process at the POE.

Even though some VOs ask for proof of funds at POE. it is not mandaotary to show the proof, As long as you got PR under CEC class and show them employment letter that you are employed in Canada at the time of landing.

Cheers

Just to clarify, you don't have to be employed when you complete the landing. CEC applications are assessed on the information
provided in your application package, not your current employment situation, you therefore don't have to have a job at the time you
complete the landing.
Correct, proof of funds are not mandatory, but some VOs ask for it and it might be easiest if you have the information with you to
make it an easy and smooth process.

Exactly.

I am going to attach bank statements of past 6 months with my file. Not mandatory but might have little impact on my file when cross referencing something. I don't care if I send extra documents, just don't want any request for additional documents as it will delay my process. :)

Seniors always advise on this forum only supply what they have asked. Again its just a advise...

Yes, I agree. But What if they need extra documents to verify something. As its not on list they might not ask you for it but they will surely transfer your file under " review required". I don't want to take any chances. so precautionary step. I am not saying that you have too. All up to you. No harm in sending few extra documents. :)

^ You have a point. But i think the document checklist is there for a reason.
