Do I need to have relatives in USA to apply for DS 160?

Hi,

I am a Canadia Permanent resident since last year. I want to apply to visit US (I don't have any fixed dates). Do I need to have a relative to apply for DS 160 visa? I want to apply visa right now, but have no intentions to go to US until September. Do I need a confirmed travel date for it?

The DS 160 is the visa application form, it is not the visa. Since your intention is to visit/tour, the B2 visa is what you will be applying for; and no, you do not need to have any relatives to go tour, in any country.

The application requires you provide dates of travel, at least estimates if you're not certain, yet.
