Do I need to have an official address in my country?

I haven't lived in my country for the last couple of years. I don't have an official address as I'm not living there, and the only record they have of me is that I left for Canada a few months ago. If I end up applying outland for my PR, will I be required to have an address in my country? (When the time comes to fill in all the forms, I was planning on providing the address of the place that I usually stay when I'm there. But now I'm confused and worried, that this will not be enough)
Has anyone by any chance had any experience with this?
Thank you.

are you living in Canada now? in the application forms they usually ask for the mailing and resident address, you can mention both as Canadian.
do you consider inland or outland application?

Thank you for your response, Suin. I'm thinking about outland and wanted to be sure that there's not going to be any problems when my application is mailed off to Warsaw (only if it get's approved, of course!). I guess I'll have to call them tomorrow, but before I do that I wanted to be sure that I've tried everything.
It's confusing..

I would just write the current address you are living at now. I don't thing there will be any problems with your visa office. Many people live in different countries but process through the visa office of their citizenship. The only thing you need to consider is that they might ask you to come for the interview in Warsaw. Also you need to get a police certificate from Poland too.
