Do I need temp visa extended if I have a work permit?

Hello!!!
I would like your help with an issue related to my temporary visa. I entered Canada with a temporary resident visa, I got an Open Work Permit and the temporary visa is going to expire soon. My question is: if my Work permit is still valid, do I need to extend the temporary visa anyways?

No, you don't require a valid TRV to remain in Canada. If you leave Canada and want to return, you will need to apply for a new TRV.
